The Shared Education Learning Forum (SELF) is delighted to announce its forthcoming conference on Tuesday 15th May 2018 at the Hilton Hotel Templepatrick, County Antrim.
This FREE conference is for school principals and others who are interested in shaping the future of Shared Education in Northern Ireland and ensuring that Shared Education partnerships are enabled to sustain and indeed build on the success they have achieved to date.
Building and Delivering a Vision for Shared Education – School leaders and teachers will play a pivitol role in realising the potential of Shared Education.
Keynote Speaker: Tom Sherrington*, will address the challenges and opportunities of schools working in partnership to create vibrant, effective Professional Learning Communities.

Have Your Say – ‘Listening Sessions’ focused on key policy areas. Let’s hear what you think about how Shared Education should be supported by the Department of Education, the Education Authority and other stakeholders. Our school leaders and teachers have stepped up to the challenge of Shared Education. Tell us what you have learned and help us shape the really important messages about Shared Education for Policy makers and other statutory bodies.
The conference will begin at 9.15am, with registration and refreshments available from 8.30am. The programme will end at approximately 3.30pm.

*Tom Sherrington is an education consultant and author. He writes the popular blog teacherhead.com and recently published his book The Learning Rainforest, Great Teaching in Real Classrooms. With 30 years’ experience as a physics and maths teacher and school leader, Tom is now in demand from schools across the UK to deliver CPD for teachers and schools leaders as well as providing consultancy support on curriculum, assessment and improving the quality of teaching. He is a regular keynote speaker and contributor to conferences and education festivals.
